The blank political map which will be used on Challenge Day for the 60 kids doing Challenge 5 - Countries of the World will be sent home with the kids on Wednesday 31 August.

Great Geography Challenge 4

These are the 24 New Zealand towns and cities that the kids doing Challenge 4 will need to know:

Great Geography Challenge Prizes

In addition to achieving a medal certificate, students also have the opportunity to win one of the following prizes:

      Top 10 Fundraisers Awards 
The ten children who raise the most funds will be awarded a special prize. The top fundraiser from each
syndicate will receive a major prize.


Class Spot Prize 
All students who achieve a gold medal will be put into a draw with all the other gold medalists from
their class for a cool spot prize.

      Top Class Award 
The class that fundraises the most (on a per capita basis) will be treated with a specially-organised fun
day which will include a movie, extra playtime and a morning tea provided by the teachers in the
staffroom and hosted by our principal Mr Schon. Mr Schon’s sausage rolls are world famous in New

      Whanau House Points 
There are approximately 85 students in each of the four whanau houses – Tui, Korimako, Pihipihi and
Tieke. Whanau house points will be awarded to the houses based upon the total number of medals
achieved and funds raised.

Proud HURRICANES Supporters

Congratulations to the HURRICANES for winning this year's Super Rugby competition.

In honour of this win each whanau-house house has been awarded a BONUS 20 points in recognition of the points scored by the HURRICANES in the final.
