Athletics

" I'm so proud of coming first in the sprints. I can't wait until I go to the Northern Zone Inter-School Athletics in Term 4 "   Theo (Tieke, Year 5)




The weather was perfect and we had a great time competing in the running, throwing and jumping athletics events.

House Placings and Points Awarded:
1st TIEKE (41), 2nd KORIMAKO (31), 3rd TUI (24), 4th PIHIPIHI (19)

Check out Newsletter Number 8 to see who earned points for their whanau house. One point was awarded for coming first, second or third in each event - sprints, vortex throw, quoit throw, long jump and high jump. Congratulations to all our placegetters.

Hockey Festival

We were lucky to have Dane from Wellington Hockey teach us hockey skills as part of our P.E. programme during February. The Hockey Festival was the year's first whanau-house event and  gave us the chance to put into action what we had learned.
